Visual Literature



 Visual literature" is a term that can refer to various forms of literary expression that incorporate visual elements. This can encompass a wide range of media, including:

  1. Graphic Novels and Comics: These are perhaps the most recognizable forms of visual literature. Graphic novels and comics combine illustrations or artwork with text to tell a story. They can range from superhero comics to more literary works exploring various themes and genres.


  2. Picture Books: Picture books are primarily aimed at children and typically feature illustrations alongside text. The illustrations play a crucial role in conveying the narrative, often working in tandem with the words to create a complete storytelling experience.


  3. Experimental Literature: Some experimental literature incorporates visual elements as part of the storytelling process. This can include things like concrete poetry, where the arrangement of words on the page forms a visual shape related to the poem's subject, or books where typography and layout are used creatively to enhance the reading experience.


  4. Interactive Literature: With the advent of digital technology, interactive literature has become more prominent. This includes things like hypertext fiction, where readers can choose different paths through a narrative, as well as multimedia storytelling experiences that incorporate images, videos, and interactive elements.


  5. Visual Poetry: Visual poetry is a form of poetry that relies heavily on visual elements to convey meaning. This can include things like shape poems, where the words are arranged to form a visual shape related to the poem's subject, as well as poems that incorporate images or illustrations alongside the text.

  2. The novel "Dikta and Law". It started with the match between Dikta and Nadhira. Dikta is a final year student named Dikta whose achievements are good because he is quite smart. Dikta himself is a law student from a prestigious university. Because he is smart, Dikta becomes the dream guy on campus. So there are definitely a lot of people who have a crush. But unfortunately he has a serious illness. until he died before the wedding took place. This novel has a sad ending.

  3. The novel "Ayat-Ayat Cinta". The start of the life of an Indonesian student in Egypt named Fahri.
    Until one day, Fahri married a Muslim woman from Turkey named Aisha through Islamic means. He got to know him through the ta'aruf process. And, after getting married, Fahri's life became better.
    One day, Fahri had to spend time in prison. He was accused of raping a woman, which he never did. Fahri remained patient while looking for a solution by praying to his God through worship in prison.
    However, his faith strengthened him to continue acting according to Islamic teachings. Finally, a solution came and allowed Fahri to be free from punishment. People who previously gave false testimony are willing to reveal the true facts.

Because this is a game, each character has 3 lives and they have to finish the game they started so they can get out of the game.

However, the complexity of the love story between Kinaan and Aliza gives a nuance that is not as smooth as readers imagine.     The story of Malin Kundang begins with the life of Malin, the only child of Datuk Alang Sakti and Sari Mayang, a fisherman on Air Manis Beach. Malin's father died when he was still small, so only his mother cared for him until he was an adult and lived a simple life. The conflict in Malin Kundang's story begins when he is an adult who leaves his mother to seek wealth abroad. After successfully becoming rich and marrying a beautiful girl from the noble Ambun Sori family, Malin Kundang even refused to acknowledge his mother who came looking for him because he was embarrassed by his poor background.     I read this comic in high school. This comic is very interesting to read. This comic tells the story of a family on a boat consisting of a father and 2 children where the world has been covered by water, all the land on the continent has sunk. The story begins tragically, the father is killed by a sea monster. The 'bota' boy and his younger brother were rescued by the cruiser. Long story short, he has grown up and become a levaithan killer, but unfortunately his sister was kidnapped by levaithan. Rescue teams were dispatched.
    Despite many obstacles and sacrifices, his younger brother managed to be saved. sister was exiled because she was infected by levaithan. His sister was forced to throw him into the sea. The story begins to enter. The climax where the whole world fights levaithan. After a long war. Many bases around the world were destroyed and many lives were lost. The story ends with humanity's victory. Even though the levaithans did not completely disappear, this was a victory that could suppress the levaithas forever. The end.

    The novel begins with the introduction of
    Genta who creates a challenge for his close friends. These friends consist of Genta (Fedi Nuril), Zafran (Herjunot Ali), Arial (Denny Sumargo), Riani (Raline Shah), and Ian (Igor). Genta gave them a challenge to test their solidarity by not meeting for a whole year. At the first meeting after the one-year separation, they promised to climb together to the top of Mount Semeru. Genta informed his friends, one day before departure, about the items and needs that must be prepared. Then, the novel also describes the longing between these friends. They all felt that it never occurred to them that they had to live their days without their friends. Finally, the day that all these friends were waiting for happened. They met at the station to head to Malang before starting the hike. In the procession of boarding the train, Ian almost missed it because he arrived a little late. Luckily, Ian was still able to board the train by running after it. Then, during the climb, it is shown how they strengthen each other. The climb had various obstacles that these friends had to break. They finally made it to the top together.

  18. A short story titled "One sided love" which tells of a young man loving a girl since childhood and devoting his life to making her happy. Despite making sacrifices and loving him without reciprocation, the girl continues to hurt him. Despite hoping for a change, the young man finally realized that maintaining an unappreciated relationship only hurt him. With a heavy heart, he accepts reality and moves on, letting go of his unrequited love.

  21. The title of novel is "I am Sarahza"
    This book tells the true story of the authors who are husband and wife named Hanum Rais and Rangga Almahendra. A true story about the incredible struggle to have children. Initially Hanum was a career woman who decided to resign and focus on her family. She has entered her third year, but there are no signs of pregnancy. Hanum and Rangga continue to try by using many methods such as 5 times IVF (IVF), 5 times insemination, and other alternative treatments. Hanum has been pregnant twice but failed. She almost gave up but her husband and parents always strengthened her and taught her to be sincere and patient. Then, in the eleventh year of marriage, Allah answered their prayers and the 6th IVF was successful and Sarahza was born. This book really inspires readers, especially fighters with two red lines. That in every hope there is life.
